Salvation: Begin With Jesus

This is where everything changes.

You’re Not Here by Accident

If you’ve landed on this page, something in you is reaching for more:

  • More than religion.

  • More than just “trying to be a better person.”

  • More than the pain, cycles, and confusion you’ve been living in.

That “pull” you feel? That’s not coincidence. That’s Jesus inviting you to begin again.

This page is a simple, clear doorway to salvation—to starting a real relationship with Him.

What Is Salvation?

Salvation means:

  • Being forgiven of your sins

  • Being reconnected to God as your Father

  • Receiving a new heart and new life through Jesus

  • Being rescued from eternal separation from God

  • Beginning a journey of healing, freedom, and transformation

Salvation is not you “cleaning yourself up” for God.
Salvation is God coming to you in Jesus—even in your mess—and offering you a way out.

You don’t fix your life to earn Jesus.
You come to Jesus, and He begins to fix what you could never fix on your own.

Why Jesus?

There are many beliefs in the world… but only Jesus:

  • Lived a sinless life

  • Took the penalty of sin on Himself at the cross

  • Rose from the dead, defeating sin, death, and hell

  • Offers grace, not just “good advice”

The Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

That means:

  • We have all broken God’s standard.

  • We cannot save ourselves.

  • But God loved us so much that He made a way through Jesus.

The Truth About You (and Me)

Let’s be real:

  • You’ve made mistakes.

  • You’ve done things you’re not proud of.

  • You’ve been hurt—and you’ve hurt others.

So have we all.

But here’s the other side of the truth:

  • You are deeply loved by God.

  • You were created on purpose, for a purpose.

  • Your value is not canceled by your past.

Salvation is not God pretending your sins never happened.
Salvation is God paying for them in full through the blood of Jesus—so you can stand clean, forgiven, and adopted.

What Did Jesus Do for You?

On the cross, Jesus took:

  • Your guilt

  • Your shame

  • Your punishment

  • Your separation from God

…and in exchange, He offers:

  • His forgiveness

  • His righteousness (right standing with God)

  • His peace

  • His Spirit living inside you

  • Eternal life with Him

This is not a theory. This is a finished work.
Jesus said, “It is finished.” The price has already been paid. Now the question is: Will you receive it?

How Do I Begin With Jesus?

Salvation is not about magic words—it’s about a real response to Him.

The Bible says if you:

  1. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead

  2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord

…you will be saved (Romans 10:9–10).

You can respond to Him right now by turning your heart fully toward Him.

It looks like this:

  • Admit you are a sinner and you need Him.

  • Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again.

  • Surrender your life to Him as Lord—your past, your present, and your future.

A Simple Prayer to Begin

There is nothing “special” about these exact words. What matters is your heart.
If you are ready to begin with Jesus, you can pray something like this:

“Jesus, I come to You just as I am.
I admit that I have sinned and I cannot save myself.
I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again.
Today, I turn away from my old life and I surrender my heart to You.
Be my Lord, my Savior, and my King.
Wash me, forgive me, and make me new.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lead me from this day forward.
My life belongs to You now.
In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.”

If you prayed that from your heart, this is the beginning—not the end—of your story.

What Happens When I’m Saved?

When you genuinely receive Jesus:

  • You are forgiven and your sins are no longer counted against you.

  • You become a new creation—the old has passed, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

  • You are adopted into the family of God.

  • The Holy Spirit comes to live inside you—to comfort, guide, convict, and empower you.

  • God begins a lifelong process of healing, deliverance, and transformation in you.

You may feel a lot. You may feel a little.
Salvation is not based on emotion; it’s based on Jesus’ promise and finished work.

Your Next Steps

Salvation is a doorway. Now it’s time to walk it out.

Here are some important next steps:

1. Talk to God Daily (Prayer)

You don’t need fancy words. Talk to God like a real Father who loves you:

  • Tell Him what you feel.

  • Ask Him for help.

  • Thank Him for saving you.

  • Invite Him into every area of your life.

2. Read God’s Word

The Bible is how you learn His heart and His ways.

A great place to start:

  • The Gospel of John (to know Jesus)

  • Then Romans (to understand salvation and grace)

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand as you read.

3. Connect With a Bible-Believing Community

You were not designed to walk this out alone.

  • Find a church or community that preaches Jesus, repentance, grace, and truth.

  • Look for a place that loves people well and honors God’s Word.

  • If you don’t have one yet, ask God to lead you—and we encourage you to reach out through Thrive House for prayer and guidance.

4. Be Baptized in Water

Baptism is an outward sign of the inward change:

  • You are buried with Christ (your old life)

  • You are raised with Him into new life

If you’ve given your life to Jesus, ask a Bible-believing church or leader about being baptized.

5. Let God Heal, Restore, and Rebuild You

Salvation is the starting point of a journey where:

  • God heals your heart

  • Breaks generational cycles

  • Renews your mind

  • Restores your identity

  • Shows you your purpose

You will still have battles. But now, you don’t fight them alone.

We’d Love to Stand With You

If you prayed to begin with Jesus, or if you’re still unsure and have questions, we invite you to connect:

  • Share your testimony or decision.

  • Ask for prayer.

  • Ask questions if you feel confused or stuck.

You are not “too far gone.”
You are not “too broken.”
You are exactly the kind of person Jesus came for.

Salvation begins with Jesus.
And if you’re reading this, your beginning can start today.
