The book of Exodus has 40 chapters. We will read one chapter per day as daily homework, allowing the Word of God to speak to us chapter by chapter.
Every Wednesday at 7 PM, we will gather online to review the previous seven chapters, discuss revelation, ask questions, pray, and grow together in the Word.
Our weekly gatherings will take place inside the Thrive House of Redemption Virtual Sanctuary online via Zoom.
Exodus is one of the most powerful books in the Bible because it shows God as Deliverer, Redeemer, Covenant Keeper, Provider, Protector, Judge, and Holy God. It does not only tell the story of Israel leaving Egypt; it reveals how God brings His people out of bondage, teaches them who they are, confronts what has oppressed them, and leads them into covenant relationship with Him.
Many people are living in an “Egypt” without realizing it. Egypt can represent bondage, fear, survival mode, oppression, trauma, false identity, spiritual heaviness, generational cycles, or any place that once looked like provision but has now become captivity. Through Exodus, we learn that God hears the cry of His people, sees their affliction, remembers His covenant, and raises up deliverance in His appointed time.
This study is designed to help you examine your life through the Word of God. As we walk through Exodus chapter by chapter, we will look at bondage, obedience, resistance, calling, identity, wilderness preparation, faith, worship, covenant, and the presence of God. The goal is not just to gain information, but to receive revelation that leads to healing, freedom, maturity, and deeper surrender to the Lord.
Exodus teaches that deliverance is not only about leaving bondage. It is about learning how to walk with God after He brings you out.
This study will help you identify places where fear, pressure, systems, trauma, sin, or cycles may be trying to keep you bound.
Moses did not feel qualified, but God still called him. Exodus helps us understand how to obey God even when we feel uncertain or unprepared.
Exodus reminds us that resistance does not mean God failed. Sometimes Pharaoh pushes back because deliverance has already begun.
Through Exodus, we see God’s holiness, patience, justice, mercy, power, faithfulness, and deep commitment to His covenant promises.
The wilderness was not wasted. Exodus teaches us how God uses hidden seasons, pressure, and preparation to form people for purpose.
Our first Wednesday Bible Study will cover Exodus Chapters 1–7. We will look at Israel multiplying under pressure, Moses being preserved and called, the burning bush, God revealing Himself, Pharaoh’s resistance, and the beginning of deliverance.
Each day, read the assigned chapter prayerfully. Write down one verse that stands out, what the chapter reveals about God, what it reveals about bondage, deliverance, obedience, or covenant, and one personal reflection or prayer. Bring your notes and questions to the weekly Bible Study so we can grow together in understanding and obedience.
