Today’s Reading:
Exodus Chapter 8
Theme:
God Begins Making a Distinction
Welcome to Day 8 of 40 Days & 40 Nights of Exodus Homework through Living Waters of Redemption Bible Study.
Today in Exodus Chapter 8, the plagues intensify as frogs, lice, and flies spread throughout Egypt. But something powerful begins happening in this chapter: God starts making a distinction between Egypt and Goshen.
While Egypt suffers under judgment, God protects His covenant people.
This chapter reveals that God is not absent during judgment, chaos, or spiritual warfare. He knows how to preserve His people even while systems around them are shaking.
We also begin seeing Pharaoh temporarily soften under pressure, only to harden his heart again once relief comes. This reveals the danger of temporary repentance that only seeks comfort instead of true surrender.
