Today’s Reading:

Exodus Chapter 9

Theme:

When Judgment Exposes False Security

Welcome to Day 9 of 40 Days & 40 Nights of Exodus Homework through Living Waters of Redemption Bible Study.

Today in Exodus Chapter 9, Egypt experiences devastating plagues upon livestock, painful boils, and destructive hail mixed with fire. Pharaoh’s resistance continues even while judgment intensifies around him.

This chapter shows us that pride can keep people resisting God even when evidence is directly in front of them.

God also begins exposing the false security Egypt trusted in:

their economy,

their livestock,

their health,

their agriculture,

and their gods.

Meanwhile, God continues protecting Goshen, showing there is a distinction between covenant covering and rebellion.
