Today’s Reading: Exodus Chapter 3
Theme: When God Reveals Himself and Calls You by Name
Welcome to Day 3 of 40 Days & 40 Nights of Exodus Homework through Living Waters of Redemption Bible Study.
Today we read Exodus Chapter 3, where Moses encounters God through the burning bush. This is the chapter where God calls Moses from the wilderness, reveals that He has heard the cry of His people, and sends Moses back to Egypt as part of His deliverance plan.
Exodus 3 reminds us that wilderness seasons are not wasted. Moses was hidden in Midian, but God had not forgotten him. The same place that looked like separation became the place of divine encounter. God revealed Himself, gave Moses instruction, and declared His covenant name: I AM THAT I AM.
As you read, write down:
One verse that stood out to you
What this chapter reveals about God
What this chapter reveals about calling, deliverance, obedience, identity, or covenant
One personal reflection or prayer
Key Verse:
“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM.”
— Exodus 3:14
Where might God be trying to get my attention in this season?
What “burning bush” moment have I experienced — a place where God interrupted my normal routine?
How has God used a wilderness season to prepare me for something greater?
Where am I struggling with the question Moses asked: “Who am I?”
Do I believe God sees, hears, and knows what His people are going through?
What is God asking me to obey, even if I feel unqualified?
Bring your notes, reflections, and questions to our Wednesday Bible Study.
